Second foal to arrive – Copperbeech Kruz

On February 17th, 2025, Copperbeech Polly welcomed her fifth foal, a colt named Copperbeech Kruz. Unlike her sister Copperbeech Star, Polly followed a textbook foaling process—waxing up and showing a pH level that predicted foaling within 24 hours, which proved to be accurate. During the birth, Kruz needed some assistance with his legs, and thankfully, we were there to help.

We are absolutely delighted with him and excited to watch him unfold over the coming days. He has big boots to fill, following in the footsteps of his maternal brother Copperbeech Franklin, now a Class 1 stallion, and his maternal sister Copperbeech Ivy, the 2023 Clifden Foal Champion—not to mention his dam’s outstanding record both under saddle and in hand.

From the moment he arrived, Kruz has shown great presence, with a strong frame and an inquisitive nature. With such an exceptional pedigree and family legacy behind him, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this special colt. We’ll be sharing updates, including photos, on our Facebook page in the coming days. Now, the focus shifts to the next mare, who is due early March—more excitement to come!

Welcome to the world, Copperbeech Kruz!
